Counseling Copilot & Behavioral Logger Plugin
The Counseling Copilot & Behavioral Logger plugin is a secure, role-restricted dashboard designed for tracking non-academic student progress, logging behavioral milestones, recording private counselor logs, and warning staff of declining trends using AI.
🔗 Dependent Modules
- Students (Core): Connects logs, session schedules, and alerts directly to student rosters.
- AI Agent Framework (Plugin): Powers the background Counseling Copilot agent for risk detection and sentiment analysis.
💡 Why Use This Module?
- Holistic Student Tracking: Records positive behavior milestones (e.g. peer assistance, leadership) alongside disciplinary referrals, feeding them into a point system.
- AI Sentiment & Trend Alerts: A background counselor agent analyzes student behavioral logs and attendance percentages to automatically flag students undergoing rapid decline before crisis points.
- Confidential HIPAA/GDPR Compliance: Counseling session notes are securely locked away and only accessible to counselor and principal roles. General staff, teachers, HODs, and parents are strictly blocked.
📅 When to Use This Module?
- Milestone Logging: Teachers can log daily classroom behaviors (positive or negative) to monitor student engagement.
- Crisis Prevention: Reviewing active AI alerts at the start of each week to check which students are flagged at "medium" or "high" risk.
- Counseling Logs: Counselors can record individual counselor sessions, set follow-up dates, and maintain lockbox session logs.
📖 How to Use
- Logging behavior milestones: Navigate to Counseling & Behavior, select a student, choose a predefined milestone (e.g., Helping Peer (+10) or Bullying (-25)), enter the description, and click Log Milestone.
- Reviewing AI Alerts: Click on the AI Behavior Alerts tab to see any student flagged by the Counseling Copilot. It surfaces the risk level, trigger reason, and calculated sentiment score.
- Registering Counseling Sessions: Counselors and Principals can navigate to the Private Counseling Sessions tab to record summaries and locked clinical notes, as well as schedule follow-ups.
- Resolving Alerts: Counselors can review active alerts, write resolution details, and click Resolve or Dismiss to remove them from the active list.
