The Hostel Management plugin manages boarding school facilities, room categories, seat allocations, and occupant directory logs.

  • Efficient Space Allocation: Track room vacancies and allocate beds to prevent overcrowding.
  • Unified Resident Roster: Fast lookup to see where a boarding student lives (e.g. Block A, Room 302, Bed B).
  • Billing Integration: Links room occupancy directly to monthly/yearly hostel billing cycles.

  • Admissions Term: Registering new borders and assigning them rooms.
  • Vacation Periods: Vacating rooms and planning maintenance shutdowns.

📖 How to Use

  1. Structuring Rooms: Go to the hostel block view and set up buildings, room numbers, room sharing limits (single/double/dorm), and amenities (AC/Non-AC).
  2. Assigning Beds: Under Room Allocation, select a student, search for vacant rooms, assign a bed, and set check-in dates.
  3. Rent Billing: Assign monthly room fees, which are compiled and posted directly to student billing ledgers automatically.
  4. Vacating Beds: Click Vacate on any active occupant's card to process check-outs and update bed status to vacant.
